Day 6

We started the morning with devotions. Then we were set to go to a Church which we're pretty sure does not exist because we could not find it. So then we had to go to another church that we randomly found. It had great music, nice people, but an extreeeeeeeeeeeemely long sermon. Most, if not all, of us came out of the Church starving. The pastor who led the sermon kept repeating himself. The second pastor looked like Matt Damon. The two things we learnt were: occupy the world until Jesus comes and that we should act as witnesses. We left the Church with a newfound appreciation for our respective churches.

After Church, we went to eat lunch at Steak and Shake. It took forever to get seated, but we did eventually eat. Once we finished eating, we went to Tanger Outlets and spent the rest of the afternoon shopping. It was amaaaazing! We all agreed that it was heaven on earth. Kristen and Gabby got matching sunglasses and Kristen and Bernice got matching jackets.

At night, we ate french toast and bacon in the condo. Gabby made them with lots of love. It tasted great, so credits to her :) Afterwards, we headed down to the beach to try out our sparklers. It was an epic fail, probably because it was super windy and humid. So then we collected shells and took pictures. Gabby taught Bernice the Stanky Leg. Here's how you do it: you put your hand in your face and dig a hole in the ground. When we wanted to go back to our room, the elevator never came. After what seemed like a billion years, we finally came back into the room. Also, we saw the fitness room at our hotel. It was really sweet, and we're pumped to use it tomorrow morning!

We're sad to be going home because of the wonderful experiences we've had, but we know that we will be taking home lots of souvenirs and fantastic experiences!

Day 5: Charleston-bound

We started driving towards Charleston at 9.30am and arrived at about 12.30ish. We found a king-sized parking garage for Alejandro (8"2 clearance!). Lunch was at a place called Eli's Table and it was delicious. We ordered beignets but it did not meet our expectations, but it tasted okay nonetheless. After lunch, we went to the Charleston Market Place and did more shopping. We got matching Pashmina's (they were beautiful) and some of us got historical sweetgrass baskets.

After shopping at the marketplace, we went on a carriage tour around Charleston with a tour guide (who's name we forgot) and a horse named Earl. We learnt alot of historical things about Charleston and it was extremely interesting. The architecture of Colonial America was beautiful! Following the tour, we went and got frozen yogurt at Cece's. IT WAS INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS. There were so many toppings that it Pinkberry to shame. After the yogurt, we marched into Forever 21.

In Forever 21, Gabby tried on seventeen pieces of clothing and wound up buying three pieces. Most of us also purchased stuff there too. We all had a great time shopping at that store. Then we headed back into Alejandro and drove back home. Once we arrived at the condo, we watched Psych all night and ate toast.

Day 4!

Right after our morning devotion, we headed out to go parasailing. We finally met Jim! I'm sure he was glad to meet us (read: Ms. Stenzel). Everyone had an absolutely amazing time enjoying the view of God's creation. The ride was extremely relaxing and I'm sure we would do it over and over again if only we had time. We saw no sharks but we did see small jellyfish. In addition to the parasailing, we also had a great time on the banana boat ride towards the speed boat. We lost of our tip bags during the ride... but that's okay because I'm sure whoever finds the bag of money will probably find it useful :)

After parasailing, we went out to eat lunch at a place called 2nd Avenue, which had a great view from the pier. Following lunch, we went shopping. We all got matching Myrtle Beach 2012 shirts and Ms. Stenzel, Anna, and Hannah, got henna tattoos done.

Once shopping time was done, we went back to the condo to enjoy some last beach time with Becca. The waves were huge and we had a blast playing in them. Afterwards, we took Becca to the airport  and said goodbye so she could catch her flight.

For dinner, we ate our leftovers and spent the night in. We were all glad to be in our safe haven watching SVU, because the streets were packed with people. Oh yes, and Bernice fell asleep. Yet again.

Day 3!

Our schedule today was much like yesterday's. In the morning we went to the beach then we ate lunch. On our lunch menu was tacos, which we made in our condo. Afterwards we went to the Boys and Girls Club to spend the afternoon with the same kids.

What happened in the Boys and Girls Club:
1. Anna and Kristen made cootie-catchers.
2. Anna taught Trinity how to do cart wheels and cheer (we have an adorable video of them!).
3. Many of the girls wanted to set world records, some of which included sitting on the uneven bars for the longest time and swinging on the swings for the longest time. It is safe to say that no one set a new world record.
4. Kristen played tag with the kids.
5. Becca and Gabby got a lot of hugs from the kids.

For dinner, we went to a nice steak and seafood restaurant called Cagneys. The food was amazing, but Gabby and Leyla begged to differ. We ended the day with an extremely long, deep, and wonderful devotion. Bernice had a great nap while everyone else was having their intense conversation.
